I am a ceramic artist living in Denmark, where I have a studio in Aalborg.

I have a passion for using raw materials collected in the nature and from old buildings and building sites. The raw materials are transformed into geological objects, Moon jars and sculptures.

History, sustainability and the study of materials are all important to me. By utilizing locally sourced raw materials I implore the viewer to reflect upon history, the diversity of nature, and geology.

My studio is filled with endless samples of raw materials, consequently, I explore and apply the raw materials, and let clay, stone, sand, ash, chalk, seaweed, plants, and iron interweave with fine porcelain.

The raw materials either undergo a refining process, or are applied directly to the surface, mixed into the clay or used as a glaze. This refinement process is often limited, as to retain the natural properties of the local materials in the ceramic object. Additionally, certain ceramic objects are fired in wood kilns which brings another level of unpredictability to the finished objects.
